Brewing

Brewing is a tradeskill that allows people to create special drinks through the combination of various liquids, hops, barley, and yeast. This drinks may or may not be alcoholic in nature. Many drinks created can have statistic-enhancing properties. Brewing is often used in conjunction with other tradeskills, such as baking. Ingredients are combined in a brew barrel.

Brewing may be the easiest tradeskill to get to 250 (you can get there entirely on store-bought goods) and also the cheapest (it's far less expensive than Jewelcraft). Later combines may require a lot of clicking.

Some faster, cheaper and/or easier recipes (one each unless stated otherwise):

• 1-122 Fetid Essence: Fishing Grubs (storebought) and Water Flask (store bought).
• 123-135 Ol'Tujim's Fierce Brew: Barley, Cask, Hops, Malt, and Yeast (all store bought).
• alt 123-125 Tumpy Tonic (untested but links on Al'Kabor): Kiola Nut (one vendor in OOT) and Water Flask
• 136-151 Skull Ale: Short Beer, Spices, Vinegar, Cyclops Skull (drops off Undead Cyclops in South Karana, returned on success or failure)
• 152-162 Jumjum Spiced Beer: Bottle, Barley, Hops, Spices, Water Flask, Jumjum Stalks (foraged or vendor sold in Rivervale or Shadow Haven)
• 163-188 Faydwer Shaker: Cask, Dwarven Ale, Elven Wine, Gnomish Spirits, and Mead (all store bought).
• 189-248 Minotaur Hero's Brew: Cask, 3 Malt, 2 Short Beer, 2 Water Flasks and Yeast (all store bought).

Useful but more involved choices:

• 212 Ethereal Curing Agent: 2 Celestial Essences, Packet of Paeala Sap, and Soda. Easy and inexpensive but can only be started at a skill level of 210 for those with a geerlok.
• 216 Grobb Liquidised Meat: Several subs, needs a corking device (tinkered), but +6 STR, +6 STA, -1 WIS, and -1 INT
• 226 Qeynos Afternoon Tea: +5 DEX, AGI, WIS and INT. Requires foraged tea leaves and subcombines.
• 250 Demi-Sec Champagne: Champagne Magnum (JC subcombine needing enchanted metal), 2 Grapes, Soda Water (subcombine) and Wine Yeast. Used in Solstice earring.

In addition, if you intend to level a tailor, you may want to make a supply of Heady Kiola, which may be used to skill up tailoring. Bakers may want to make vegetable oil, used for Hero Sandwiches.

• 102 Vegetable Oil: Water Flask + Vegetables
