Items are the meat of EverQuest and there is a myriad of them.

The wiki already has a ton of items, but if you stumble upon something that isn't here, please let the staff know so we can add it. Or, even better, you can easily create it yourself! Take a look at the code for Lodizal Shell Shield, for example, and simply copy it for the respective item that you are importing. Other examples include Ifir, Dagger of Fire (for a weapon), Backpack (for a container), Water Flask (for a generic item), and Valorium Ring of Gallantry (for a recommended level and a recipe). A full list of inputs can be found on the item template.
Regarding item pictures, simply upload the png file (from Allakhazam) with the exact name of the item (don't remove the png extension). The item graphic should then automatically display in the black box.
Know that if you are seeing a "???" for the zone, it is the normal behavior until the respective NPC/quest page has been created. For recipes, "(???)" is the normal behavior until the respective ingredient page has been created.
[edit] Searching for Items
This is where the real power of the wiki comes in. You can search through the item database for any combination of item metrics using the Special:Ask page. For example, to search for leggings that have wisdom and mana on them for an Ogre shaman, one would input:
[[Slot::Legs]] [[WIS::+]] [[MANA::+]] [[Class::Shaman]] [[Race::Ogre]]
If you want, you can add informational columns to the table that the search engine spits out at you by adding stuff in the "additional printouts" box. For example, in the above example, an appropriate printout would be:
?WIS ?MANA
This way you would be able to sort your table by which items have the most wisdom or mana. Try it! You can also use wildcards such as > (greater than), < (less than), and ! (not) in your searching.
