Snare and Pet pulling (Guide)

This is a brief overview of the snare pulling and pet pulling technique.

[edit] Snare Pulling

- Who can pull this off?

  • Shadowknights
  • Necromancers
  • Monks with a clickable snare item.

- Why would I want to use this? Typically splitting is performed either through tag teaming to split aggro or by repeated feign deaths. This is far from guaranteed and very hard to do solo. The snare pull technique nearly guarantees proper splitting with tag teaming and greatly increases your chances of success solo.

- Specific examples

  • Fiends and Golems in PoV
  • Guardians in HoH
  • Snakes in SSRA

[edit] Pet Pulling

- Who can pull this off?

  • Shadowknights (only on Al'Kabor)
  • Necromancers (only on Al'Kabor)

- Why would I want to use this? Pet pulling allows you to have completely aggro free pulling. The pet carries all the aggro as long as the owner remains feigned from the start. If the pet dies during the pull there is no residual aggro.

- Helpful notes

  • The "Pet Hold" AA is not required but is extremely recommended. Not only does it allow the pet to be retrieved without repeated "Pet Back" requests but it does so in a more sustained fashion which allows the pet to be more effective and cover a greater distance before dying.
  • A buffed pet can take more hits and can pull higher hitting enemies.

- Pet pull examples

  • King Tormax can be pulled solo by a Shadowknight. Guards first, then KT last.
  • VT mobs are easily split using pet pull.
  • Nearly all of SSRA.
